introduction
As a writer-director, what I am most interested is telling a story of female characters that can project my emotions. Even nowadays, I think there could be more unique voices belonging to female characters.
In my understanding, filmmaking is a moment of reflection, of self-evaluation. There’s a line in ‘Life of Pi’, saying ‘when you look into the tiger’s eyes, you are seeing your emotions reflected back to you.’ I think cinema is something like the tiger’s eyes.
